The first agent experiment has concluded.

This page documented running an AI agent that placed real bets on the first Variance Vault mainnet deployment. That experiment closed on July 10, 2026: the agent surface it described is retired and the @variancevault/agent-mcp package is deprecated.

The protocol itself moved forward. The live surface is the v14 channel protocol on testnet, where anyone can define a game as an on-chain value tree, register it permissionlessly, and verify every settlement from chain state. An agent-native betting surface returns with the protocol's next mainnet deploy, built on that model.
